Job summary

Transaction Network Services in Sheffield is seeking an experienced professional to join our Network Operations/Support team. You will provide first-line support, escalate where needed, and manage incidents across the global payments network.

You will monitor network connectivity and performance, work to maintain high availability, and operate on a 12-hour day/night shift rota with 24/7/365 coverage. Strong Linux, Fortinet, and Cisco knowledge will be essential.

Qualifications

• We require previous experience in a network operations centre or technical support role.
• Experience with a ticketing system for fault tracking (e.g., ServiceNow or Salesforce).
• Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
• Experience with Fortinet products including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer.
• Understanding of SD-WAN and cloud solutions such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Understanding of IP routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
• Analytical approach to fault-finding and problem diagnosis.
• Tenacious, inquisitive approach to investigations and corrective action.
• Good organisational and time-management skills; ability to work under pressure and communicate with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• We provide first-line support, partner escalation and incident management across the TNS network.
• We monitor and support the global payments network, maintaining high availability and timely resolutions.
• We work with colleagues to support a range of incidents and meet service availability SLAs.
• We provide 24/7/365 operational support on a 12-hour day/night shift rota.
• We monitor and manage the Global TNS Payments network, including connectivity and performance.
