Job summary

Stafforce Ports is partnering with a leading international logistics and freight forwarding business to recruit an Import Operations Co-ordinator for their Immingham office. You will coordinate end-to-end import movements from Europe into the UK and become a key contact on a major client contract.

The role requires experience in freight forwarding, customs procedures and managing multiple shipments, with strong organisational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, shipping, customs clearance or import operations.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and import documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
• The ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end import process and ensure compliance with customs requirements.
• Process manifests and EDI files; manage LCL and FCL imports.
• Arrange UK deliveries via network of hauliers and issue haulage instructions.
• Maintain revenues/costs in the operating system; monitor profitability.
• Act as main contact for a major aluminium import contract and liaise with overseas agents.
