Job summary

The Import Operations Coordinator role in Felixstowe offers an opportunity to manage end-to-end import shipments (FCL, LCL and/or airfreight) for key clients, ensuring on-time, compliant movement and accurate data across bespoke systems. Strong Excel skills support reporting and operational visibility.

You will coordinate with customers, shippers, overseas agents and internal teams, maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in import operations (FCL, LCL and/or airfreight) within shipping or logistics is essential.
• Strong data entry, processing, and Microsoft Excel skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage import bookings for FCL, LCL, and/or airfreight consignments with a range of carriers.
• Coordinate with customers, shippers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth movement of goods from origin to destination.
• Enter shipment data promptly and accurately into bespoke client systems and internal platforms.
• Maintain close communication with clients, carriers, hauliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain high service standards.
• Utilise Microsoft Excel for data processing, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Proactively identify and address potential delays, documentation issues, or operational risks.
