Job summary

DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting an Import/Export Operations Specialist based in Leeds, UK. You will manage daily import/export activities to ensure on-time delivery while complying with international trade rules and internal standards.

You will prepare trade documents, coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and support tariff classification, valuation, and duty management to keep global supply chains running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in import/export operations and trade compliance.
• Familiarity with trade documentation and customs processes.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day import and export operations to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate trade documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies.
• Ensure adherence to UK, EU, and global customs laws, trade compliance requirements, and DePuy Synthes internal standards.
• Monitor and support customs clearance activities, including tariff classification, valuation, and duty management.
