Job summary

Fast Car Automotive is seeking a reliable Importing Assistant to support the Purchasing Department with coordinating international shipments, managing import documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

You will liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport providers; track shipments; assist with customs clearance; resolve discrepancies; maintain records; and support stock planning and cost verification of freight and charges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor incoming international shipments.
• Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to relevant departments.
• Assist in customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with import regulations.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
• Support stock planning.
• Assist with cost analysis and verification of freight and customs charges.
• Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing Department.
