Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions in the United Kingdom seeks a Global HVDC System Commissioning & Services Leader to oversee the new department and drive strategic management of commissioning and C&P service functions across the global HVDC portfolio. A strong track record in HVDC and leadership of diverse teams is essential.

You will align the central HVDC Solution Line with regional project teams and lead end-to-end commissioning, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in HVDC Control & Protection or large-scale power system commissioning.
• Proven track record of leading large, multi-cultural, geographically dispersed teams.
• Deep technical knowledge of HVDC technologies (LCC/VSC), control system architecture, SCADA, and Cyber-security.
• Experience in laboratory-based testing using RTDS.

Responsibilities

• Global Leadership & Governance: establish standards for seamless system integration across projects.
• V&V Assurance: provide independent oversight of system integration readiness.
• Commissioning Execution: lead end-to-end commissioning strategy from lab to customer acceptance.
• Lifecycle Support: drive technical support strategy for installed fleet and continuous improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: standardize a global framework to capture lessons learned and reduce costs.
• Talent & Capability Building: define long-term organizational strategy and leadership pipeline.
• Technical Oversight: act as escalation point for complex grid interaction challenges.
