Job summary

GE Vernova, a leader in electrification, seeks a Global HVDC Control System Commissioning Leader to standardize and drive the commissioning function across global projects.

You will balance strategic leadership with technical oversight, ensuring qualified resources, robust processes, and risk management are in place for safe, efficient project delivery. Travel to sites and labs will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Extensive HVDC control & protection or large-scale power system commissioning experience.
• Proven leadership of large, multi-cultural engineering teams.
• Deep HVDC knowledge (LCC/VSC), control system architecture (eLumina), SCADA and cyber-security.
• Experience with RTDS laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage the global HVDC control system commissioning function.
• Define and execute resourcing, governance, and standardization for projects.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a global team across sites.
• Chair functional gate reviews and coordinate NPI/Engineering liaison.
• Manage budgets and drive Lean improvements in engineering-to-site handovers.
