Zusammenfassung

GE Vernova Grid Solutions is seeking a Lead Commissioning Specialist to oversee HVDC system tests on-site and prepare commissioning procedures in coordination with System Engineering. You will lead the test engineers, review site results, and ensure progress against the project schedule.

Role requires an engineering background with HVDC expertise, fluent English, and willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 60% of the time).

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree or equivalent with HVDC knowledge.
• Proven experience as Commissioning Engineer in High Voltage; Site Commissioning Manager preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 400kV substations, HVDC (LCC/VSC/SVC) including control & protection.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with Fault Recorder (TFR) systems.

Aufgaben

• Lead HVDC system tests on-site per specification.
• Prepare commissioning test procedures with System Engineering/verification leads.
• Revise/add testing procedures as required.
• Test procedures on Real Time Digital Simulators before on-site commissioning.
• Coordinate test programs and estimate test durations.
• Maintain and review daily/weekly test schedules with customer and Site Commissioning Manager.
• Prepare power schedules and daily/weekly power profiles.
• Ensure tests follow agreed procedures and are logged.
• Coordinate HV switching and power control with customer.
• Review HVDC station behaviour and log deviations for evaluation.
• Capture and log test results and keep reports up to date.
• Issue daily test reports to stakeholders with Site Commissioning Manager.
• Gather experience feedback for final project report.
