Job summary

Cambridge University Press & Assessment in Cambridge, UK, is seeking a Head of Professional Development Operations to lead end-to-end delivery of the Professional Development portfolio. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership to scale programmes globally.

Reporting to the Director of Professional Development, you will own revenue forecasting, budgeting, programme governance and supplier and trainer management, with 40-60% face-to-face collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex operations or portfolios across international teams.
• Track record of improving processes to scale revenue, efficiency and quality.
• Expertise in programme and project management approaches (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean Change).
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual planning and a clear portfolio roadmap aligned with demand and commercial goals.
• Own end-to-end delivery targets: reach, revenue, margin, quality and customer success.
• Establish governance, manage risks and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Lead revenue forecasting and cost‑efficiency planning for sustainable growth.
• Mentor Senior Professional Development Managers and build an accountable culture.
