Job summary

IntaPeople is seeking a multi-disciplined engineer to join a global technology group in Newport. The role blends factory duties with customer-site installations across Europe, North America and Asia. You’ll develop, build and improve high-tech equipment, travel regularly, and become the technical expert on site.

Initially you’ll travel with a colleague; later you’ll lead installations alone, diagnosing issues and reporting findings to the design team.

Qualifications

• HNC or HND (or above) in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or a similar engineering discipline.
• Broad engineering background covering both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience installing, commissioning and fault-finding complex machinery or production equipment.
• Willingness to travel and work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and troubleshoot equipment at customer facilities worldwide.
• Diagnose and fix technical problems under time pressure.
• Build and test new equipment designs in the factory before shipment.
• Contribute to electrical and mechanical design changes.
• Write clear technical reports and relay customer feedback to the design team.
