Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service industrial equipment across the UK and internationally.

You will manage end-to-end customer-site projects, with hands-on development and autonomous work on site, supported by comprehensive product training.

Qualifications

Field Based Nationwide with Occasional International Travel

Commutable from: Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Ringwood, Ferndown, Wimborne Minster, Wareham, Blandford Forum, Swanage and surrounding areas

Are you a Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer or Maintenance Engineer looking to build genuine multi-skilled capability across mechanical, electrical and PLC/control systems, in a role where you will take real ownership of customer-site projects from start to finish?

On offer is a permanent opportunity with a specialist engineering manufacturer, where you will receive hands‑on product training and develop into a senior, autonomous service professional with clear routes into broader controls work, project management and customer‑facing commercial responsibility.

As a result of continued growth and increased workload for the year ahead, they are strengthening their UK and European service capability to better support customers and distribute travel across the team.

In this role you will travel across the UK and internationally, carrying out installation, commissioning, fault‑finding and service work across mechanical assemblies, electrical control panels and PLC‑driven systems. You will plan site visits end‑to‑end, coordinate logistics and subcontract support where needed, and produce clear service reports and documentation.

This role would suit a hands‑on engineer from a field service, commissioning or maintenance background, who wants to broaden their technical depth and responsibility, and is comfortable with travel and autonomy.

The Role:

• Install, commission, service and fault‑find industrial equipment and controls
• Multi‑skilled troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical and PLC/controls
• Extensive UK and international travel, including overnights and occasional weekend travel (expenses paid)
