Job summary

The People Pod is recruiting a Technical Business Development Manager in Bolton with UK and international travel. You will drive new business across engineering and manufacturing sectors, build strong relationships with senior leaders, and deliver consultative, solution-led proposals to win contracts.

You’ll leverage a proven track record in technical sales and the ability to navigate procurement processes, while maintaining a robust pipeline and steering opportunities to closure.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical or engineering sales.
• Background in manufacturing or industrial solutions.
• Experience in supply chain or procurement services.
• Experience with engineering components or industrial distribution.
• Proven track record of winning new business.
• Strong consultative selling skills.
• Excellent relationship-building ability.
• Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills.
• Confidence when dealing with senior decision-makers.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business across engineering and manufacturing sectors.
• Build relationships with Engineering, Operations and Procurement leaders.
• Identify opportunities to improve customers' global sourcing and supply chains.
• Deliver consultative, solution-led sales presentations.
• Manage opportunities from first meeting through to contract award.
• Develop strategic partnerships and new market opportunities.
• Work closely with technical and sourcing teams to deliver bespoke solutions.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and CRM.
