Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to lead ER operations across the UK and Canada within the People Services team. You will triage tribunal claims, guide complex investigations, and collaborate with senior leaders to drive data-driven improvements.

You will own one ER pillar, ensure local compliance while aligning with the global ER strategy, and coach a team to deliver consistent, high-impact outcomes across regions. Flexible travel (10–15%) is expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated background in Employee Relations or HR Business Partnering.
• Strong knowledge of UK Employment Legislation, tribunal processes, and compliance frameworks.
• CIPD Level 5; CIPD Level 7 is a plus.
• Proven team leadership and coaching skills.
• Deep understanding of ER policies, complex investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Awareness of Canadian employment law frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Passion for using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Commitment to values Lead, Deliver, Care and a collaborative culture.
• Ability to travel internationally (10–15%).

Responsibilities

• Lead ER operations across the UK and Canada, ensuring local compliance while supporting global alignment.
• Hold strategic ownership for one ER pillar, driving consistency with business goals.
• Manage and triage UK employment tribunal claims, partnering with external counsel.
• Provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance and Speak Up cases.
• Analyze ER data and trends to deliver actionable recommendations.
• Coach, mentor and develop your team for career growth.
• Facilitate ER representation during restructures with clear roles and processes.
• Collaborate with global HR stakeholders, HRBPs, and legal teams.
• Leverage Workday and Jira Service Management effectively.
• Explore and implement innovative ways of working to boost productivity.
