Job summary

Causaly is seeking a Director of People to own People Operations and Employee Experience for 100–125 staff across the UK, Greece, the US and more. You’ll run contracts, payroll, benefits, compliance, HR systems and employee relations, shaping day-one experiences and policy across geographies.

You’ll lead a small team, partner with Finance, and leverage AI/automation to streamline processes. This is a senior, cross-border role with strategic and hands-on elements.

Qualifications

• Senior People Operations leader with venture-backed tech or SaaS scale-up experience.
• Hands-on payroll and benefits across multiple countries including UK/US/Europe.
• Strong UK employment law knowledge and cross-border support.
• Experience owning HRIS and data reporting with a focus on compliance.
• Credible communicator who can influence senior leaders and managers.

Responsibilities

• Own the People Operations roadmap and full employee lifecycle from contracts to offboarding.
• Work with Senior Talent Partner on hiring, offers and onboarding.
• Oversee payroll and benefits across UK, US and Europe with Finance; manage EOR providers for remote staff.
• Ensure employment law compliance in every country of operation; maintain policies and contracts.
• Own HRIS, data accuracy and reporting; support budgeting and analytics.
• Lead employee relations cases end to end; coach managers through difficult conversations.
• Oversee compensation reviews, performance and development cycles with Finance and leadership.
• Own learning & development budgets and programmes for managers and teams.
• Collaborate with Finance Director/COO on People strategy and workforce planning.
• Shape employee experience across locations and remote colleagues; drive engagement surveys and wellbeing initiatives.
• Manage offices in London/Athens/New York; coordinate facilities, budget and health & safety.
