Job summary

MBDA in Stevenage is seeking a skilled procurement professional to manage supplier subcontracts and relationships across the world. You will lead the negotiation, execution, and lifecycle management of subcontracts to time, cost, and quality targets.

This role offers hybrid working (2–3 days on-site) with UK travel between sites, a company bonus up to £2,500, a generous pension, and opportunities for career development within MBDA's global procurement team.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally in defence or aerospace.
• Degree in business discipline; CIPS accreditation or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience negotiating in a Customer/Supplier environment within global supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute subcontracts, with existing suppliers or via tendering.
• Oversee subcontract amendments to stay compliant with standards and legislation.
• Undertake performance management to ensure supplier delivery aligns with obligations.
• Develop and nurture supplier relationships in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
• Regularly visit supplier premises and chair progress meetings.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and business risks for assigned suppliers.
• Obtain quotations and critical intelligence to support MBDA bids.
