Job summary

GSK, a global biopharma leader, seeks a Senior Manager Relying on established media relations experience to manage global outreach and respond to enquiries across time zones. You will lead proactive announcements, drive strategy, and mentor a media team in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

You will develop relationships with top-tier outlets, support major corporate events, and collaborate with regional teams to tailor messaging for local markets while upholding the highest standards

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Calm under pressure and able to move quickly in response to media interest.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple pieces of work.
• Team player with ability to build networks across time zones and cultures.
• Interest in improving systems and processes, including AI.
• Experience using media monitoring and analytics tools to generate insights.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute proactive media announcements to build GSK's reputation globally.
• Lead media team systems and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage media responses for corporate issues, including crisis comms.
• Develop relationships with top-tier global and UK media to support strategy.
• Support media strategy and briefing materials for key corporate events.
• Collaborate with regional teams to adapt global narratives for local markets.
• Build a strong internal network to deliver on objectives across functions.
• Monitor media coverage and provide insight reports with recommended actions.
• Uphold high standards of judgement, accuracy and ethical communications.
• Experience in pharma or similarly regulated industry is a plus.
