Job summary

THG is seeking a Consolidation Accountant to join the Finance team at our Manchester office. You will support group consolidations, IFRS16 lease accounting, and external reporting within a fast-paced, international business.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with 2-3 years in consolidation and technical accounting, IFRS expertise, Tagetik experience, and strong Excel skills. UK-listed environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 2-3 years of consolidation and technical accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS16, and UK financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in financial consolidation systems (Tagetik) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in a UK-listed company or similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Group Consolidation & Reporting: prepare and review group and sub-consolidations compliant with IFRS/UK standards.
• IFRS16 Lease Accounting: manage lease accounting and disclosures; system ownership of lease details.
• Technical Accounting: advise on debt, FX, and equity transactions; prepare technical papers.
• Preparation of Financial Notes: draft notes and ensure disclosures meet IFRS/UK requirements.
• Process Improvement: implement improvements in consolidation and reporting workflows.
• Compliance & Audit: support year-end audit and maintain internal controls.
