Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII), part of Dover Corporation, is seeking a Compliance Engineer to drive regulatory activities for product certifications across Europe, the USA and Canada. You will link R&D with external labs and the global compliance team in an international cross-functional setting.

The role requires a BSc in engineering, solid knowledge of CE/FCC/IC/EMC directives, and experience with regulatory testing.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or relevant scientific discipline.
• Knowledge of certifications for Safety, EMC standards/directives, Radio domains, and certification mechanisms.
• Understanding of CE, NRTL, FCC, IC regulations including Machinery, Low Voltage, EMC, RED Directives.
• Experience with EMC testing and pre-compliance during product development is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Thermal Transfer Overprint and Print & Apply projects, including hardware regulatory certifications for Europe, USA, and Canada.
• Plan and estimate compliance activities, providing pre-compliance guidelines and organizing tests in safety and EMC during design phase.
• Update products or certifications to ensure ongoing compliance across full lifecycle, planning recertification and providing input for modifications.
• Stay up to date on applicable standards, directives and regulations to ensure conformity of product ranges.
• Assist regional customer services or trade/importation services to support global customers.
• Support inspection audits at factories or process audits (ISO9001) to ensure product safety and conformity.
• Build relationships with third‑party labs and maintain efficient collaboration with customers and suppliers, seeking reliable new partners as needed.
• Propose improvements to certification scope, processes, and partnerships to increase customer satisfaction and reduce time to market.
