Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) in Nottingham is seeking a Compliance Engineer to join the global hardware safety and product compliance team. You will drive regulatory activities, oversee certifications for new and existing products, and liaise with R&D, external labs and stakeholders.

The role focuses on safety, EMC and radio spectrum compliance across Europe, USA and Canada. You will plan tests, maintain certifications throughout the product lifecycle and contribute to continuous

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of CE, NRTL, FCC, IC regulations including Machinery Directive, LV Directive, EMC Directive, RED.
• Experience with EMC testing and pre-compliance in product development.
• Understanding of compliance assessment of industrial machines or installations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in regulatory certifications for Europe, USA and Canada across new product development.
• Plan and estimate compliance activities; organize pre-compliance tests in safety and EMC during design.
• Maintain ongoing compliance and certification through full product lifecycle and recertifications.
• Stay up to date with standards and regulations to ensure conformity of product ranges.
• Assist regional customer services or trade/importation to support global customers.
• Support audits (ISO9001) and ensure safety/conformity of products.
• Build relationships with third-party labs and optimize partner performance.
• Propose improvements to certification scope, processes and partnerships.
