Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) is seeking a Compliance Engineer to join the global hardware safety and product compliance team in a hybrid Nottingham role. You will drive regulatory activities, oversee core certifications for new and existing products, and liaise with R&D, external stakeholders, and global labs.

You will work with cross-functional teams across regions to ensure CE, EMC, RED and related certifications are maintained and expanded as needed, supporting product lifecycle

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Safety, EMC, Radio, and related certifications.
• Familiarity with CE, NRTL, FCC, IC regulations including Machinery, LVD, EMC, RED directives.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience working in international cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with curiosity to learn.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements in key markets (Europe, USA/Canada).
• Lead/prep cross-functional projects for new product development and lifecycle maintenance.
• Plan and organise pre-compliance tests for safety and EMC during design and development.
• Update certifications and maintain ongoing compliance across product portfolio.
• Coordinate with third‑party labs and regional teams to support testing and approvals.
• Identify opportunities to expand certification scope and partnerships to reduce time to market.
