Job summary

Nordson Test & Inspection in Colchester, United Kingdom, seeks a Senior Compliance Engineer to lead global regulatory, safety, environmental and trade compliance across the product lifecycle. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Supply Chain to embed compliance into development.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years in product compliance, strong knowledge of machinery safety, and experience with standards such as CE, FDA, and UL. Travel ~25% between UK sites is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years' experience in product compliance or regulatory engineering.
• Experience supporting compliance within product development teams.
• Knowledge of machinery safety and regulatory requirements for electro‑mechanical systems.
• Experience using SISTEMA, Safeexpert, or equivalent safety analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of product compliance activities across the full product lifecycle.
• Interpret and apply international regulations and standards (CE, EU Machinery Directive, EMC, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, SEMI, FDA).
• Partner with Engineering teams to ensure compliance and safety in design and development.
• Maintain technical files, declarations of conformity, and certification records.
• Act as compliance SME, guiding Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Supply Chain functions.
• Manage relationships with external certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
• Support trade compliance activities (HTS, COO, ECCN, OGEL, SIEL).
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance-related business processes.
