Job summary

Cirrus Research, based in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Head of Commercial to own the UK and international commercial strategy. The role entails leading a skilled team, strengthening distributor relationships and driving growth across markets, with a hands-on leadership style.

The successful candidate will shape commercial performance, oversee CRM, forecasting, and profitability metrics, and work closely with the MD and SLT to guide strategic decisions and market expansion.

Qualifications

• Experience leading sales or commercial teams within an international B2B environment.
• Experience managing distributor/agent/channel partnerships across multiple territories.
• Proven track record of delivering sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
• Strong commercial and numerical capability with an analytical mindset.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for UK and international markets.
• Lead, coach and develop the commercial team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Drive sales performance across direct, distributor and partner channels.
• Strengthen distributor relationships and identify opportunities in new/underdeveloped territories.
• Improve CRM usage, forecasting, pipeline visibility and reporting.
• Provide commercial insight to support SLT decisions and strategic planning.
