Job summary

Proofpoint is hiring for a senior technical customer success role based in Reading, UK. You will engage with strategic customers, provide technical leadership, and coordinate across engineering and services to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires strong Linux, SMTP, and networking knowledge, plus crisis leadership experience and German language proficiency. You will interact remotely and on-site, driving initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and ROI.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in client-facing or professional services roles.
• Strong Linux, SMTP, and MySQL knowledge.
• Experience with Windows/AD/MS Exchange.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven crisis leadership and incident response.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• German language proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to strategic customers with minimal direction.
• Manage support interactions and customer escalations.
• Lead crisis and incident response with cross-functional teams.
• Meet clients remotely and on-site to review status and issues.
• Deliver executive presentations on performance and ROI.
• Develop understanding of customers' business and needs.
• Plan and drive process improvements to raise customer satisfaction.
• Identify risks for production changes across services.
• Schedule and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Design solutions for complex problems.
