Ford & Stanley Group is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Site Supervisor to oversee site operations on a UK-wide programme of ground engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, and ground improvement projects. The role emphasizes safe delivery, coordination with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors, and ensuring work meets specifications and quality standards.

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and full UK Driving Licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail or construction projects.
• Strong health and safety knowledge on construction sites.
• Excellent communication and team leadership.
• Ability to read drawings and construction documentation.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to problems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities and coordinate site teams.
• Manage labour, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensure works follow project specs and approved methods.
• Monitor progress against programmes and milestones.
• Conduct quality inspections and maintain site records.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Promote health, safety and environmental culture.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, engineers and project managers.
• Identify and resolve site issues proactively.
• Produce daily reports and communicate updates to management.
