Job summary

Ford & Stanley Group is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Site Supervisor to oversee field operations across the UK, coordinating site teams and ensuring strict adherence to project plans and safety standards.

You will manage labour, subcontractors and plant, read and interpret drawings, and report progress to management. A Full UK Driving Licence and strong leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Supervisor/Foreman on civil/infrastructure projects.
• Experience on highways, rail, or construction projects.
• Strong health and safety knowledge on sites.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read drawings and construction docs.
• Good organisational and planning abilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities and coordinate teams.
• Manage labour, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensure works follow project specifications and methodologies.
• Monitor progress against programmes.
• Conduct quality inspections and maintain site records.
• Deliver site inductions and safety talks.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, engineers and project managers.
• Produce daily reports and updates.
