Job summary

Fugro is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, on-site, to join a growing team delivering geotechnical testing data for major projects. You will perform soil and rock tests, record results and support equipment calibration, working closely with engineers and quality teams.

The role requires GCSEs in English, Maths and Science, strong attention to detail, and good communication. A collaborative, safety-minded mindset will help you contribute to timely project delivery and

Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Good communication and teamwork with colleagues across the lab.
Organisational skills and proficient with Excel or similar software.

Responsibilities

Carry out geotechnical laboratory tests on soil and rock samples safely and accurately.
Record, analyse and process test results with high data quality.
Prepare test materials, equipment and lab spaces for efficient testing operations.
Support maintenance, calibration and performance checks of lab equipment and instrumentation.
Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to deliver reliable data.
