Overview

I am working with one of the UK's most well known specialist contractors in recruiting a Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer for their thriving business. They have been on an upward trajectory; with a current turnover of around the £100 m mark, their continued success and security is assured. Ideally candidates will come from an earthworks/remediation contracting background and will have a stable track record of success in the geotechnical/environmental field. You will be involved at both the pre and post-contract stages in feasibility, planning and contract delivery and will be working on projects in the Midlands and South West. Your working week will be split between the office and on site.

It is essential that you have the following qualifications and experience, or be working towards them:

  • A relevant degree; chartered status or be working towards this/have an interest in gaining chartership; and a minimum 1-3 years experience in the industry.
  • Essential certificates: CSCS card; Asbestos Awareness; Cable Avoidance Tools (CAT & Genny); Manual Handling.
  • Advantageous but not essential: ICE Earthworks – Theory & Practice; Non-Licensable Work with Asbestos including NNLW/Working Within Licensed Area (if required); Respirator/Face Fit Test (half mask) – if required; First Aid at Work (3 day); Fire Marshal; SEATS/Environmental Awareness.
