Job summary

Stantec is expanding its geoarchaeology capability and seeks an early-career Geoarchaeological Consultant to join the Archaeology and Heritage Team. You will develop towards independent practice under mentorship, contributing to assessments, reporting, fieldwork and data interpretation across multiple sites in the UK.

You will work under the Geoarchaeology Lead, building skills in deposit modelling, GIS, and digital outputs, with a UK driving licence required during probation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Archaeology, Geography, Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• Master’s in Geoarchaeology or related field preferred though not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of geoarchaeological consultancy services across assessment, reporting, fieldwork and data interpretation.
• Prepare figures, GIS outputs, plans and tables, and draft sections of technical reports.
• Attend site visits and ground investigations and support monitoring of works.
