Job summary

Educato Limited is seeking a General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Kensington, Merseyside. You will support pupils with learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, deliver engaging activities, provide 1:1 and small-group support, and help pupils access the curriculum while promoting inclusive practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children or young people in a school setting.
  • Passion for supporting learning and development.
  • Patient, approachable and nurturing.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Following school policies and contributing to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils

  • Pay: £110 per day

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop their career within a primary school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.

You will play an important role in creating a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment, helping pupils to build confidence, develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

The Successful Applicant Will
  • Have previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Be patient, approachable and nurturing
  • Be confident supporting pupils both independently and as part of a wider classroom team
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, reliable, adaptable and willing to support wherever needed
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and parents/carers
  • Have the right to work in the UK and be available full-time, Monday to Friday
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience working within a primary school is desirable
