Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is seeking a General Teaching Assistant to support learning in a Hoylake primary school. The role is full-time, long-term supply, predominantly Monday to Friday, with a focus on helping pupils engage with the curriculum and build confidence throughout the school day.

You will work alongside the class teacher, support individuals and groups, manage resources, and contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom environment while following school safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Be enthusiastic about supporting children's potential.
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Right to work in the UK; Monday–Friday availability.
  • Hold or working towards Level 2/3 SFL qualification (desirable).

General Teaching Assistant Location: Hoylake, Wirral Contract: Full-time, long-term supply (Monday

The role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with a genuine interest in developing a career within primary education.

Working alongside the class teacher and wider school team, you will provide valuable support to pupils throughout the school day, helping them to engage with their learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The successful candidate will be an important part of the classroom, helping to create a positive, encouraging and well-organised environment where all pupils feel supported and able to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities
