RHR in London is seeking a General Store Manager to own the store, lead a high-performing team and drive commercial success through exceptional customer experiences.
You will shape product ranges, stock availability, merchandising and the overall shopper journey, working with colleagues across functions. The role offers a competitive salary, bonus potential and a strong commitment to development and progression.
This is the kind of opportunity that doesn't come around often. Our client is a people-focused retailer with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional customer experiences through its range of lifestyle products. The business has built its success on putting both customers and colleagues at the heart of every decision it makes. With a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing, development and career progression, the company is passionate about nurturing talent from within and has an impressive track record of promoting and developing future leaders across the business.
The company is looking to recruit a General Store Manager for one of its key locations. This is far more than a traditional store management role. You'll have the opportunity to take full ownership of your business, combining inspirational leadership with commercial decision-making to drive performance. Working closely with wider business functions, you'll influence product ranges, stock availability, merchandising and customer experience, ensuring your store consistently delivers outstanding results. This is a role for someone who enjoys having autonomy, making an impact and shaping the success of their operation rather than simply following a prescribed formula.
Coming from a customer-focused retail environment, you'll be able to demonstrate the leadership skills and commercial awareness needed to deliver results and develop high-performing teams. You'll be confident working with a variety of stakeholders and able to evidence how your decisions have driven sales, improved performance and enhanced the customer journey. Product background is less important than your ability to motivate people, identify opportunities and make commercially sound decisions based on customer insight and trading performance.
In return, the role offers a basic salary of up to £55,000 plus the opportunity to earn up to an additional £10,000 through bonus. You'll benefit from a healthy work-life balance with only one weekend per month, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous colleague discounts, wellbeing support and a range of lifestyle and retail perks. Most importantly, you'll be joining an organisation that genuinely invests in its people and provides clear opportunities for long-term career development.
