Job summary

Holcim UK is seeking a hands-on operative to perform daily pre-start checks, operate mobile plant such as telehandler and skidsteer, and attend required training. You will follow risk assessments, maintain high housekeeping standards, and support stock control on site.

Rotational shift pattern: two weeks on days, two weeks on nights. You will work with a collaborative team and be committed to safety, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Willing to operate mobile plant with full training and certification provided.
• Follow risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Strong numeracy and literacy to record checks and procedures.
• Able to work in a hands-on, team-based environment.
• Commitment to safety and site housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and record daily pre-start checks/inspections.
• Operate mobile plant (e.g., telehandler, mini digger, skidsteer) after training.
• Attend required training courses and keep certification up to date.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping around the site.
• Assist with maintenance checks, lubrication and minor repairs.
• Oversee stock control and ensure correct stock bays and hoppers.
• Work a rotational schedule: two weeks on days, two weeks on nights.
