Job summary

Homes for Students Ltd in London is seeking a General Manager for Griffon Studios to lead and inspire a thriving student community. You will drive service across sales, maintenance and housekeeping, and embed our core values while managing a dedicated team.

You’ll oversee check‑in/out and room turnaround, ensure health and safety compliance, and support new students from September. You’ll work with a supportive regional network to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a similar role or environment.
• Strong data presentation and analysis skills.
• Impeccable organisational abilities.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office.
• Team player with the power to lead, inspire, and motivate.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver a high‑quality student living experience across sales, maintenance and housekeeping.
• Oversee check‑in/check‑out and room turnaround processes, especially at peak times in September.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and proactive handling of customer or operational issues.
• Embed Homes for Students’ values and foster growth within the team and organisation.

Homes for Students, the UK's largest independent provider of Student Accommodation, is currently seeking a GeneralManager for Griffon Studios in London. This isn't your average 9-to-5 job; it's a chance to lead, inspire, and take charge of a thriving student community.

Your weekly hours will be 40 hours per week, working 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

About the Role:

As our General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind an exceptional student living experience. You'll work closely with your team to ensure top-notch customer service in sales, maintenance, and housekeeping. Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding our core values and enabling your team to excel in their roles.

The pinnacle of excitement awaits in September, as you take the reins of the check-in, check-out, and room turnaround process. Your outstanding communication skills will shine as you support our new students and efficiently handle any customer or operational issues that arise.
