Job summary

Homes for Students is recruiting an Assistant General Manager for The Propeller Quarter Property in Bristol. The role involves leading sales, maintenance and housekeeping teams, delivering exceptional service, and supporting the General Manager during peak periods.

You will drive service standards, manage staff, and contribute to a welcoming, well-run student accommodation community in Bristol. The position offers varied responsibility and opportunities for development within a national operator.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in team management within a similar role or environment.
• Proficiency in presenting and analysing information accurately and effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills to ensure seamless operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively, inspire, and motivate team members.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service across sales, maintenance and housekeeping to uphold company values.
• Collaborate with the site team to drive performance and smooth daily operations.
• Support the General Manager during busy periods such as September check-in/out and room turnaround.
• Provide coaching and guidance to staff to maintain high service standards.

This exciting opportunity offers 40hours per week, working 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, providing you with a dynamic and rewarding work experience.

As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service across our sales, maintenance, and housekeeping departments. With your strong leadership skills, you will collaborate closely with our dedicated team to uphold our company values and ensure optimal performance in every aspect of our operations.

The highlight of your role will be the bustling September period, where you will support the General Manager and the wider site team inthe check-in, check-out, and room turnaround processes. Your excellent communication skills will be crucial in supporting our new students and managing any customer or operational challenges that arise.
