Our client have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager Logistics Operations to join the team on a full time, permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary.

The General Manager Logistics Operations role:

As their General Manager Logistics Operations you will lead the successful operational management and development of the group including further development of profitability levels.

The successful candidate will have the ambition, vision and drive to be able to be heavily involved in taking the business forward alongside the Managing Director and rest of the Senior Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities of their General Manager Logistics Operations:

• Managing the day to day business operations across the operation covering traffic planning, site operation, customer service, Fleet Management (including on site workshop), HR and H&S.
• Maintaining profit margins via tight cost controls and correct selling prices
• Maintaining established high customer satisfaction levels
• Maintaining customer relationships
• Managing and motivating all staff in a positive and developmental way
• Ensuring compliance to all legal regulations
• Identifying and secure new customers and traffic from existing customers
• Recruit suitably skilled staff
• Assist in long term strategic development of the business including acquisitions and service development
