General Manager - New Opening - Modern British Pub - Up to £65,000 per year + Bonus - Live-in Opportunity Available - East London

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our new iconic gastropub. In the heart of Wanstead you’ll find The George and Dragon, a proper local with excellent British pub food, great cocktails, wine and a locally sourced range of craft beers and ale. There’s regular live sport on the screens plus live music and social nights. With private rooms to host meetings, parties and other events, this is an amazing opportunity for a people and guest focused General Manager to spearhead a proper community pub.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Lead and inspire a team to deliver top-tier service, with a focus on consistently delivering our high-quality food offering.
• Manage food and drink offerings, ensuring our menu is fresh, exciting, and keeps customers coming back.
• Drive sales and profitability while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Maintain the function room as a sought-after event space.
• Create a lively and welcoming atmosphere for all.
