Purpose of the role

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop front- and back-of-house teams to deliver consistent, high-quality guest service.
  • Oversee daily operations including service flow, reservations, stock control and vendor relationships.
  • Drive commercial performance through revenue management, menu and offer optimisation, and effective cost control.
  • Recruit, schedule and manage staffing to balance service standards with labour efficiency.
  • Maintain health, safety and licensing compliance; implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
  • Manage budgets, forecast performance and report on financial and operational metrics.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Essential skills and experience
  • Proven management experience in catering, hospitality or a closely related sector at venue or multi-site level.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L responsibility or cost control programmes.
  • Excellent people leadership skills: recruitment, training, performance management and staff engagement.
  • Customer-focused with a track record of maintaining service standards and resolving guest issues effectively.
  • Organisational skills to manage operations, rostering and supplier relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
