Job summary

Popeyes UK CHICKEN & PIZZA LTD in Eastbourne seeks an experienced Restaurant General Manager to take full ownership of the restaurant's performance. You will lead a fast-paced team, ensuring top guest experience, strong sales, and efficient operations.

You'll drive food safety, P&L, labour budgets, and brand standards while developing your people and delivering high-energy service that makes Popeyes a standout in the market.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant.
• Strong leadership to drive teams and guest experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, costs and compliance with health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership for restaurant performance, including P&L, sales, labour, food cost, audits and brand standards.
• Lead and develop the team to achieve high standards and great guest experiences.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and employment legislation.
• Deliver Popeyes' food quality, speed of service, and guest experience standards.
• Own recruitment, development plans and succession planning for the site.
• Control stock, inventory, ordering and waste to target.
• Build schedules balancing availability, labour budgets and peak trade.
• Review performance data to identify opportunities and take action.
• Bring energy and a positive culture to the team.

What you’ll do here

• Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and employment legislation
• Full accountability for your restaurant’s performance, inc P&L, sales, labour, food cost, audit and brand standards
• Support and develop your team to grow their careers and unleash their potential
• Deliver Popeyes' food quality, speed of service, and guest experience standards
• Own recruitment, development plans, and succession planning for your site

• Build rotas that balance availability, labour budgets, and peak trade

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant
• Ability to deliver quality, safety and cleanliness standards at all time
• Track record of hitting sales targets, managing P&L, and controlling costs
• Experience with labour scheduling, stock management, and inventory systems
• Strong people leadership, you've built teams and developed future talent
• Experience in new-site openings or multi-site environments is beneficial
• The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
