Popeyes UK is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to take full ownership of a busy Popeyes location in Cardiff. You will lead a high-performing team, drive sales and profitability, and ensure guest satisfaction through excellent service, food quality, and safe operations.

You will manage P&L, staffing, training and development, and work across health and safety, compliance and brand standards while delivering the fun, energetic Popeyes culture that makes us a great place to work.

Qualifications

• Proven General Manager experience in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant.
• Ability to deliver quality, safety and cleanliness standards consistently.
• Track record of achieving sales targets, managing P&L, and controlling costs.
• Experience with labour scheduling, stock management, and inventory systems.
• Strong people leadership and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and employment laws.
• Own restaurant performance including P&L, sales, labour, and costs.
• Develop your team and help them grow their careers.
• Maintain Popeyes' food quality, speed of service, and guest experience.
• Own recruitment and succession planning for the site.
• Control stock, inventory, ordering and waste relative to targets.
• Build rotas balancing availability and budgets.
• Review performance data to identify opportunities and act.
• Keep energy high and culture positive.

What you’ll do here

• Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and employment legislation
• Full accountability for your restaurant’s performance, inc P&L, sales, labour, food cost, audit and brand standards
• Support and develop your team to grow their careers and unleash their potential
• Deliver Popeyes' food quality, speed of service, and guest experience standards
• Own recruitment, development plans, and succession planning for your site
• Control stock, inventory, ordering, and waste to target
• Build rotas that balance availability, labour budgets, and peak trade

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant
• Ability to deliver quality, safety and cleanliness standards at all time
• Track record of hitting sales targets, managing P&L, and controlling costsExperience with labour scheduling, stock management, and inventory systems
• Strong people leadership, you've built teams and developed future talent
• Experience in new-site openings or multi-site environments is beneficial
• The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
