Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead on major Water & Wastewater projects across Greater Manchester and Lancashire for United Utilities. You must have significant site leadership experience in this sector, with a background in Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors working on water authority schemes.

Responsibilities

• General management of all construction and civil engineering activities.
• Daily allocation of plant, labour, and materials.
• Coordination of site activities, including subcontractors.
• Management of the workforce on-site to ensure safe working methods and minimal environmental impact.
• Ensuring deliveries are stored in a safe area to prevent injury to the public and staff and to avoid plant damage.
• Ensuring the correct PPE is available and used.
• Assisting in method statement production.

Role: General Foreman

Location: Multiple positions across Greater Manchester and South Lancashire

Salary: Up To £55,000 + Package (details below) - Includes a car/van or car allowance

Sector: Water/Wastewater

Overview: A leading infrastructure and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their construction team on key projects based on a major Water & Wastewater schemes in the Greater Manchester & Lancashire regions for United Utilities. Due to the complexities involved, you MUST have experience as a General Foreman/Site Supervisor in the Water/Wastewater industry. We can consider candidates from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor background, provided you have worked on projects associated with UK Water Authorities.

Responsibilities:

• General management of all construction and civil engineering activities.
• Daily allocation of plant, labour, and materials.
• Coordination of site activities, including subcontractors.
• Management of the workforce on-site to ensure safe working methods and minimal environmental impact.
• Ensuring deliveries are stored in a safe area to prevent injury to the public and staff and to avoid plant damage.
• Ensuring the correct PPE is available and used.
• Assisting in method statement production.
