Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior General Foreman to join a permanent, site-based construction team on a major water sector project in Ringway, United Kingdom. You will support the Construction Manager and Site Manager in coordinating and controlling site activities, implement frameworks and procedures, supervise sections of work, and ensure safe, HSQE-compliant delivery in line with programmes and budgets.

This role requires a strong background in civil engineering, water projects, and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior general foreman, general foreman or site supervision role within civil engineering.
• Experience within the water industry.
• ONC or HNC in a construction-related discipline.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• Valid First Aid qualification.
• Confined space training is desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction site management, health and safety and environmental requirements.
• Ability to interpret and work in accordance with method statements, risk assessments and project programmes.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and enforcing statutory health, safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policies
• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and risk assessments
• Monitoring compliance with HSQE policies, procedures, programme requirements and budget controls
