Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Senior General Foreman Site to join our Construction team on one of our projects in the UU region. The role reports to the Construction Manager and focuses on safe management of a section of work, ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met on major projects or coordinating all site activities on smaller projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control initial site set-up with the Site Manager.
• Enforce methods and controls to optimise use of resources on site.
• Assess security risks to property under management and implement appropriate levels.
• Support Site Manager to maintain safety standards and compliance.
• Work to method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Senior General Foreman Site based at one of a projects in the UU region.

You will report directly to the Construction Manager and you will support and coordinate the safe management of a section of work on major projects or control all site activities on a smaller project ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are set.

Key responsibilities will include:

• In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control initial site set-up, actively installing framework systems and procedures
• Rigorously apply and enforce methods and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of the frameworks resources.
• In conjunction with the Site Manager, appraise the security risk to all property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values.
• Actively support the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with our safety policies
• Work to method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance to all HS&E policies and procedures

• ONC or HNC in a construction discipline
• SMSTS/SSSTS
• First Aid
• Preferably confine space trained
• Experience within the water treatment industry (Non-Infrastructure)
