Key Responsibilities:

• Step into diverse secondary classrooms to deliver pre-set work across a range of subjects, maintaining high expectations for learning and pupil engagement.

• Create a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.

• Adapt learning delivery to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Leave clear, professional handover notes for regular class teachers when fulfilling day-to-day cover assignments.

• For long-term roles: take ownership of subject delivery, plan, assess, and mark work, participate in department meetings, and contribute to parents' evenings as required.

What We Look For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification).

• Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to step into unfamiliar secondary settings with ease.

• Broad curriculum knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a flexible, proactive attitude.

• An adaptable, punctual, and professional approach with excellent communication skills.

• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
