Job summary

Randstad Education in Norfolk is recruiting a Secondary Supply Teacher to support local secondary schools near Wymondham and across South Norfolk.

Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 with flexible day-to-day cover or fixed-term long‑term placements that let you embed into a school community.

You will need QTS or QTLS and an Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred). We offer competitive daily rates, a dedicated local consultant, and the freedom to choose your availability.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification) required.
• Strong classroom management and adaptability across secondary settings.
• Subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and 4 in your specialist area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Create a positive, safe classroom environment and manage behaviour.
• Adapt delivery for diverse learners including SEND.
• Leave clear handover notes for regular class teachers on day-to-day cover.
• For long-term roles: plan, assess, and contribute to meetings and parents' evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt learning delivery to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Leave clear handover notes for regular class teachers when fulfilling day-to-day cover assignments.

• For long-term roles: plan, assess, and mark work, participate in department meetings, and contribute to parents' evenings as required.

What We Look For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification).

• Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to step into unfamiliar secondary settings with ease.

• Subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in your specialist area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, Creative Arts, PE, etc.).

• An adaptable, punctual, and professional approach with excellent communication skills.

• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
