Randstad Education in Great Yarmouth and surrounding areas is seeking flexible Secondary Supply Teachers to cover Key Stage 3 and 4 across local schools.

You can pick day-to-day work or longer-term placements, delivering engaging lessons, maintaining high expectations, and adapting for diverse learners, including SEND. DBS check and QTS/QTLS are required; daily rates are competitive and paid weekly.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification) required.
• Strong classroom management and ability to adapt to unfamiliar secondary settings.
• Subject knowledge across KS3/KS4 in your specialist area.
• Excellent communication and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Create a positive, safe, productive classroom environment.
• Adapt learning delivery for diverse learning needs, including SEND.
• Leave clear handover notes for regular class teachers on day-to-day cover.
• For long-term roles: plan, assess, mark, participate in meetings and parents' evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, maintaining high expectations for learning and pupil progress.

• Create a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.

• Adapt learning delivery to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Leave clear handover notes for regular class teachers when fulfilling day-to-day cover assignments.

• For long-term roles: plan, assess, and mark work, participate in department meetings, and contribute to parents' evenings as required.

What We Look For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification).

• Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to step into unfamiliar secondary settings with ease.

• Subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in your specialist area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, Creative Arts, PE, etc.).

• An adaptable, punctual, and professional approach with excellent communication skills.

• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
