Speedy Hire Plc in St Albans seeks a General Assistant to keep the depot running smoothly. You will handle deliveries, assist with loading, manage stock, and help customers at the hire desk in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and/or collections as required in the depot.
• Assist with vehicle loading/unloading and equipment handling.
• Stock control and accurate ledger updates on the hire desk.
• Serve customers on the hire desk and provide good service.

Role - General Assistant

Location - St Albans

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

Salary £29,572 per annum, pro rata

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.

What you'll need:

• Driving licence
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills both verbally & written
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.
