Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in Hull is offering a General Assistant role with flexible hours including job shares and amended hours to support a healthy work/life balance.

You will work across the depot, handling deliveries, loading/unloading, stock control and serving customers at the hire desk, with a starting salary of £29,572 per annum pro rata and a range of benefits.

This is a hands-on, varied role in a supportive team with opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Driving licence is essential.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others.
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Working in all areas of the depot to keep operations running smoothly.
• Deliveries and/or collections, assist with loading/unloading, stock control.
• Serve customers on the hire desk and support colleagues across the depot.

Role - General Assistant

Location - Hull

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times 07:30 - 16:30 - 42 hours

£29,572 per annum, pro rata

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.
