Orchard Therapeutics plc in London, UK is seeking a Research Technician for a 12-month fixed-term contract based at our Hammersmith facility. The role focuses on Lentiviral vector production and related molecular biology tasks within Translational Research.

You will perform cloning, cell culture, vector production, quality control, and contribute to study reports, working closely with the team to advance our gene therapy programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in cellular and molecular biology essential.
• Experience with Lentiviral vectors required.
• Familiarity with mammalian cell culture and genetic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plasmid and library work for production
• Perform cloning to generate plasmid and Lentiviral Vector constructs
• Carry out cell culture and transfection for Lentiviral Vector production
• Determine titer and quality control of viral particles (flow cytometry, ddPCR)
• Test and optimize production/quality control protocols for viral particles
• Organize and track samples during production and storage
• Support lab operations including inventory and routine lab tasks (mycoplasma testing)
• Contribute to study reports and SOPs
• Participate in team meetings and department activities
