Job summary

Orchard Therapeutics, a Kyowa Kirin company, invites applications for a 12-month fixed-term Research Technician in our Translational Research Department, based at the Hammersmith Research Facility in London. Experience with Lentiviral vectors for gene delivery is highly desirable.

You will support pre-clinical activities, conduct lentiviral production runs, cloning, and vector construction, and ensure meticulous lab documentation to support Orchard’s therapeutic program development.

Qualifications

• Experience in cellular and molecular biology.
• Experience with Lentiviral Vectors.
• Degree in biology/biotechnology or related field with lab experience.
• 2+ years in a viral vector or gene therapy lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform production and titration of Lentiviral Vectors.
• Conduct cloning to generate plasmid and vector constructs.
• Conduct cell culture and transfection workflows for production of Lentiviral Vectors.
• Determine titer and quality control of viral particles using appropriate assays.
• Test and optimize protocols for production and quality control of viral particles.
• Organize and track samples during production and storage.
• Support lab operations, including inventory management and documentation.
• Contribute to study reports and SOPs.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborative work.
