Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a GCSE Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to students across the BCP area on behalf of Local Authorities. The role involves tailoring sessions to GCSE subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Languages, with flexible hours and potential long-term placements.

Ideal candidates will have GCSE tutoring experience, strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to travel locally within the BCP area.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting (tutoring, teaching, TA, mentoring or similar).
Experience supporting learners at GCSE level.
Strong knowledge in one or more GCSE subjects.
Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions.
DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Driver preferred, or willingness to travel locally across the BCP area.

Responsibilities

Provide personalised 1:1 support to GCSE students across the BCP area.
Deliver sessions across English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages or other GCSE subjects.
Collaborate with Local Authorities and support learners with diverse educational needs.
